Dr. Meg McBrien comes to NVRH from St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After graduation, she worked as a generalist at a small animal and exotic practice in Ohio. She also trained through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and became certified in veterinary acupuncture. After working in general practice for nine years, Dr. McBrien completed an Internal Medicine residency at Medvet Medical Center for Pets, a specialty and emergency hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. McBrien next joined the first privately owned, 24-hour emergency and referral hospital in Minnesota, where her professional interests focused on internal medicine and creating a collaborative team-based approach to patient care.
Her interests include dance, music, hiking, gardening and community volunteerism.
