My pup Fiona has had both CCL’s fixed in her hind legs and I couldn’t be happier.. The staff is patient and kind, you can tell that they really love every animal that comes through those doors.

Dr. Amy Smith, DVM is an emergency veterinarian at Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital in Plains.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Biology in 1994. She received her DVM from VMRCVM in 1999.
Subsequently, she trained in acupuncture through IVAS and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner through the University of Tennessee. She has a wide range of clinical experience and has been providing emergency veterinary care at NVRH since 2015.
When not at work, she enjoys making wine at a local winery, running, hiking, reading, training her border collies and spending time with her husband and two sons.
